Sweeping the Streets of London.

The Streets of London

Chapter 2 of my London Legacy has come to a close and I sit here once again in my flat and type away at my happenings of these past few days. Yes, a lot has happened and I wish to share it all with you, but it's hard to compartmentalize heaven. So forgive me now if I happen to ramble; 'tis a curse while living your dream.

To begin, I suppose I should mention that my first day was met with classes at the Hyde Park Chapel where we had usual "first day of class" announcements and particulars. Not much to report there. But the next day was full of activity and energy. I would tell you in words, but allow me to tell you in words and pictures!
Complete with many original paintings. Like this
one of Queen Elizabeth holding the Holy Hand
Grenade of Antioch.

First, here am I gracing the the Royal Temple Inn with my
presence. The first place where Twelfth Night was
performed.
A most royal and historical building. But so much for that, let's move onto the next!

The Temple Church! An ironic name for a Catholic Cathedral
complete with the standard stained glass and damp atmosphere
just shouting centuries old.
Comes complete with working organ and
stand-in model.

I thought it most necessary to provide a happy contrast in a
building built for the God of love.

All in all, not a bad time. But it doesn't stop there. Next we hit up something that is sure to give you Harry Potter fans a run fo' yo' moneh!

Don't believe me? Check it out!

Behind me in the distance is the Globe Theatre. But what I am standing on is the very bridge that the Death-Eaters destroyed in Harry Potter.

Amusing, yes. The rest of that day consisted of the borough market, Shakespeare's church, and more clouds and rain. Indeed, if I could relate to you all of the tales thus far I would certainly keep you here beyond any healthy limit. But up unto this day I will quickly say that I have eaten many foods and seen many plays. I will also post these photos at the bottom of the post, let them do the talking, and just let you enjoy them how you will.

(WARNING! THIS NEXT PART OF THE POST WILL HAVE CONNOTATIVE VULGARITY! If you wish not to have Asians summon up vulgar words in your mind, skip the next two photos and proceed with the rest of the post)

One thing that strikes me as I experience London is how much it reminds me of Brooklyn. Maybe it's the use of non-skyscrapers, diversity, or me just comparing any big cities now, but the truth is there are similarities that exist. This one that I will show you is a testimony of how hilarious translation "mishaps" of Asian restaurants' titles into the English language persist anywhere. They were funny in Brooklyn and they have proved to be funny in London too. Here you are!

A product of New York Asian translation hilarity.

I guess Asians are the same where ever you go. It's a good thing they all speak the same language :P

First shows seen here in London;

Shakespeare of course.
This was the most amazing play of all time. No kidding!
Scary. Awesomely scary.
Always a favorite.

Now just to get your mouths watering :)

Grilled sammiches!

Fish and chips. Naturally.
Ya better believe it!

Eclair. Yum.

And beloved pizzzzza.

Tis all for now. Next blog will be filled with stories of church, more plays, museums, revenge, and true love!

With all British haste,
